Led Zeppelin. The Ramones. Blondie. Nas. In 1998, a white-tablecloth Italian restaurant in the West Village was not supposed to play this music.

But we did.

And the public was not supposed to embrace pig’s foot, lamb’s tongue or beef cheek.

But you did.

And a restaurant certainly could not have exclusively Italian wines on their list.

But Joe Bastianich insisted upon it.

Babbo is proud to be a long-standing part of the fabric of Greenwich Village and doing the things we like to do. We continue to make Italian food the way an Italian would if they were shopping from American farms and markets. We have curated an unrivaled wine cellar with a breadth and depth that could only come from vision and time. And we have some of the most committed hospitality professionals who have passed down to each other what it means to be in service to our guests. But what we are most proud to celebrate is you. Dining at Babbo is as much about food, wine and service as it is about walking through those carriage house doors into an unmistakably New York experience. You bring that deal-making, scene-stealing, night-loving, character-driving energy that only can be found here. Thank you. 

We know that rockin’ and rollin’ for over twenty-five years in the restaurant business is not supposed to happen.

But it did.

And we are having a great time doing it the way we like… and thrilled you like it too. Salute!
